  1. Since a 24 foot pole has an 8 foot shadow when divided by 3, just divide 72 by 3 and you have 24 feet

  2. jonathan i belive you are right yo - ur just an idiot dont answer any maths questions again

    O.K.

  3. Use the rule of similar triangles.  ratios.

    72/24 = x/8

    x = 24 ft

  4. 24/8 = 72/x

    3=72/x

    3/72=1/x

    72/3=x/1

    24=x

  5. All other things being the same, its shadow is 24 feet long.

    X/72 = 8/24

    X = 72 x 8/24

    X = 24

  6. 24/8   compare this with 72/something else.

  7. b.

  8. Dear friend. I will give one more scientific answer for this question. The length of the shadow will be 24 feet and the time will be 10.30 Am or 4.30 P.M.The calculation is if you take the whole length of shadow and the pole height and divide it by 15. You get a constant ratio for that pole.If the vertical length alone divided by the constant ratio and 2.5 you will get the time in hours add 6 in that hours will give you the time . If it is evening you can add 12.

  9. you need to write a porpotion.

    72/24 = x/8

    cross multiply

    576=24x

    divide both sides by 24

    x = 24

    Hope i helped! :]
