joined a large mommies group that has lots of smaller groups in it. Once people found out what I do I started recieving lots of emails daily asking questions, wanting updates, offering help. You name it. So I began answering all the emails, created a missions group and other stuff. I am a expat here in Romania who works with abused and abandoned children. Now to be honest I am slightly irritated I spend a lot of my time answering questions, writting updates for these women who claimed they desired to help. I have only recieved 1 donation the entire time. So I want to close down the group that I opened but I not sure how to word my final update. It is rude to let them know that I am shutting it down because they never followed through with their promises and I felt like I was wasting my time. So my question is the best way let everyone know without being rude or sounding whiny that they offered help but never acted on their promises.

  1. Due to lack of financial support, we have been forced to close down.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  2. add an automatic message to any e-mail sent to you. it will automatically bounce back to each e-mail sent. say that due to unforeseen events, you are shutting down your ____________. [whatever it's called]  and thank everyone who participated in your cause. Just leave it at that.

If you need to, delete your yahoo address and make a new one with a totally different name so they don't associate you with it. That should do it.

Oh and one last thing... it is SO easy to forget to read your e-mail every day. Life intervenes, and these people may not have even READ your updates. good luck.
