Seeing that it is a clean fight and not about the annual rivalry between the Spartans and the Wolverines I will go with the Spartans.

My son is a Senior at MSU so I am a loyal green and white fan.

Love the basketball and the Marching band.

I do agree that traditionally the Wolverines are better at Football and they were especially notorious when the mighty Bo was coach.

Being that I love the state and all the great things about Michigan.

I like them both but Michigan is usually better at Football while MSU is better at Basketball.  Michigan is better academically and MSU is better socially.  It seems like a fair trade off.  We should honor and celebrate their differences.

While U of M is clearly a better football school, Michigan State is better at Basketball.

Also, considering I was a wrestler, and like wrestling, I often root for Michigan State who is usually the better preforming University.

I go to MSU so, GO STATE!!! Although our football team does suck normally, but this year we have the Wolverine number.

What is the quesion?  If you are asking about U of M vs. MSU.  Both great universities.  As far as sports goes, most of the people that have this discussion did not go to either school because a true alumnus does not have to debate which is better.  Historically, Michigan is better and football and baseball.  Michigan State can claim ownership to basketball and hockey.
