A possible pregnancy question?

The setup: My last period started on July 18. And was over by the 23rd. On July 25th and 26th (possibly the 27th) my husband and I had unprotected s*x. sorry about not knowing the exact dates- I know that would help! and by saying "unprotected s*x" I'm not talking about just not using a condom- I mean he didn't pull out or anything. Here's the catch- the sunday during my period (which would have been the 20th) was when I began taking my birth control, and I know it doesn't start working for 10 days. Does anyone have any thoughts or bits of info they would like to contribute as far as what you THINK my odds of having gotten pregnant might be? I know women don't usually ovulate until day 14- which would have been August first... I'm just wondering what you all think the chances are....

I'm on the same schedule as you! I think your chances of being pregnant are slim considering the days you had unprotected s*x. But it can always be possible.....if you miss your AF then take a test.

Ovulation days are different for each woman. You could begin the ovulation process before your period has even begun depending on how long you cycle is. Ovulation on day 14 is not necessarily true. If your cycle is regular, meaning you are like clock-work, count back 14 days from the first day of your cycle. That should let you know which day you are most liely going to be ovulating. SInce you have not had a period yet for August, obviously, look at past months.

The chances are slim.... However, its always a possibility.  Sperm can live in you for up to 5 days.  So, if Aug 1st woulda been your ovulation day, then the sperm form the 26/27 could still have had a chance to fertilize the egg.
