Parachute play....you can do so many activities with a parachute. If you do not have a parachute, substitute an old sheet...not as effective but it is still fun.  Also, children love to dance and do activities with sheer scarves and ribbons. Set up an obstacle course for them to follow or a scavenger hunt with a picture map that has them do different physical movements such as....hunt for the grren box, when they get to the green box they are told to do 5 jumping jacks before proceeding to the next clue.  Here are some websites that have info about parachute play:

These are all good open ended movement activities because they do not have a definite beginning or end.
