A principle broker is the main one in charge right?

I was just wondering if they are the ones who manage everything and gets paid the most.

Yes, they are in charge.  They usually get paid more as they are the boss (but not necessarily).  They may or may not be the owner of the company and if they are the owner they would also get a cut of the commissions of all agents (or the agents would pay them a flat monthly fee).
