causing interference, what should be done amicably

  1. Are you sure the network cables are causing the interference? If so I would report it to the cable company and let them handle it.


  2. normal telco and ip wiring is twisted pair, made that way so that the leakage current field is cancelled. TV coax has a braid covering that acts as a perfect shield for the interior wire. Interference is a truly rare occurance.  because telephone must pass DC current, a faulty connector on that line would cause it to not work at all and therefore could not cause interference. My guess is the Cable TV has a faulty connector at the trunk line, which would be easy for them to fix. I am assuming that you have not made any creative cable TV connections yourself.
