Just to clarify, I'm a student at this class (one of the more senior ones now). I don't like to judge appearences, but this guy seems like a psycho, never smiles, never talks, stares at everybody, very violent, nasty tatoos (like demons and the devil etc.), I personally wouldn't be surprized if he's russian mafia or some serbian war criminal.

  1. Never judge a book by its cover, give it time if this guy is really like you think he is approach your instructor and voice your concerns other than that leave it,if your instructor is worth his salt he'll find him out and deal with him appropriately.

    Best wishes :)***

  2. Does he bully?  Is he uncooperative? Does he abuse people? How is his attitude in your partner drills?

If he isn't bullying, abusing people or being an a-hole, then try pairing yourself up with him and getting to know him.  It would then be simply a case of jumping to conclusions.

If he is a yob and a bully talk to your instructor - it's in your instructors interests to sort it out, after all it is a business she's trying to run.

  3. Eerm you could always try talking to him

  4. Ppl say the same abt me because I stare, don't talk or smile much.

I don't have any tatoos or peircings or weird hair colour though.

Shall I beat him up for you?

  5. If he is not actually causing problems or trouble, then you might just be judging him on appearances.

Have you tried to talk to him, and see if he is okay?

But if he is behaving violently towards you or other members, then you should speak with your instructor, who will then deal with the situation.

    xx

  6. ignore him.. if hes not talking to anyone then hes not really bothering anyone i understand it can be kind of creepy if hes just staring at you... if hes violent maybe you should talk to the instructor about it.

  7. Kara-TAY his *** like Spongebob and Sandy, duh!!!!

  8. One thing you need to take into consideration is that this guy is a 'paying' student. He has a right to be in the class until such time as the owner of the dojo stops taking his money and tells him that he cannot come back. Every person who studies martial arts has their own reasons. It is easy to assume that this guy has less than honorable reasons for taking the class, but if he follows your instructor's curriculum, then over time, he may become a better person.

  9. I definitely understand how you must feel. When I was in high school, I had a guy in my weightlifting class that was completely wierd and awkward, silent, just stared, but a big guy none the less.. Often times he would just stare at someone between repititions. Eventually I asked him what his deal was and in my case he responded and told me he didn't realize he did it so much, and from that point he would try to avoid that.

If it's something that is turning out to be truely concerning I would probably run it by your intstructor. You said that you tried talking to the guy, but did you really TRY talking to the guy? You can't always judge a book by it's cover like previously stated by someone else.  He may not be that bad of a guy, just  different tastes.

  10. If he ever gets out of control, if your instructor is responsible, he'll keep him out. For now just keep doing what you're doing and maybe he'll decide to quit. If you get really afraid, talk to your instructor. Hope I helped!

  11. Never judge a book by it's cover.

A lot of guys that look tough are far from it.  They make the image on purpose to avoid confrontation.

Martial arts classes can build character.  Maybe he used to be a trouble maker and is trying to better himself.

You never know, if your that curious, talk to him.  Your a senior student, see if you can help him out with something he is trying to learn.  Sometimes you have to reach out.

  12. rally up the class and JUMP HIS ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. There is nothing anyone can do if he just looks dangerous. If he says anything out of line or acts violent, talk to the instructor or the owner.

  14. Speak to your instructor

  15. stop going. until you're told HE aint goin no more.

  16. discuss your anxiety with your Sifu/Instructor,get him to talk to this guy. some people are born with attitude just relax and get on with your own training
