if my front tooth is going over onto my other front tooth , can a veneer help , like it will have to go on straight over a crooked tooth ? can that happen

The dentist would shave down your tooth in order to have the veneer placed and then veneer would be made to look straight. It would depend on how much of the tooth would have to be shaved, because then you might run into a situation where you'll need crowns instead
