I am trying to find a good online resource where my brother can have other bipolar people to talk with for day to day stuff and can access up to date information. Can anyone recommend any websites or programs online?

  1. http://www.nami.org has online communities and the bipolar one is very active (bipolar people often have a great deal to say).  I am bipolar and I have used it.

  2. Your brother might find this program useful - at http://www.moodswings.net.au - it is based on an effective face-to-face program for bipolar.  It is a self help program with information, tips and strategies - it is all on-line and has a moderated discussion board so he can communicate with others in the program.

    Hope this helps.

  3. i haven't found that yet, but i know a website that has success stories

with natural treatment www.curezone.com type in bipolar success stories

    good luck

maybe yahoo may have a group for bipolar

    or a chat room

  4. there are groups on yahoo he can join and he will find people similar to his illness that he can post stories on,get his questions answered. also if he is on meds for bi-polar he can go to the web site of his drug and there is helpful information to explain to him how his drug works, side effects, his emotional highs and lows. the best thing for him to do is to talk to his dr. to see if there are any support groups he can attend or for him to get counseling. usually in every state there are support groups where he can openly talk about his illness the way he feels and he will be able to relate to them cause they all are just like him good luck

  5. www.bipolarsupport.org

Ive been on there for over a year....great support message board.
