  1. NO, they do not work.  Don't take my word for it per se.

    Here are some reviews:

I tried these out and found that they facilitate the production of rotting, molding produce within 2-3 days. The bags themselves come from Ningbo, China, and are just cheap plastic wrap. The bit about them absorbing ethylene is nice storytelling, but that's about all it is. By sealing produce off from fresh air and holding in ethylene, the bags actually seem to accelerate rotting.

I buy more fresh produce than most but my hubby doesn't eat any of it. So when I saw that I could save money each week by putting my half used veggies in these bags, I was thrilled. I made sure I followed the directions-including the drying out condensation..what a pain-and still had bad produce (especially those sensitive bananas). The only thing they protected was lettuce, strawberries, and broccoli. Don't waste your money...they aren't worth it!

I tried these Green Bags with Bananas and the bags made all of them mushy and I had to throw them out after 3 day. All the moisture the bags keep does this. What a waste of money.

  2. About a month ago I saw them being sold at our Walgreen's pharmacy so I purchased a box of the quart size. I put some onions in one bag, some bananas in one and then left two bananas out in the same crisper bin of the fridge. the bag added one day to the bananas before visible signs showed up and we ate them.

My opinion is, I won't be buying any more. The truth is, most produce is eaten within a few days of purchase anyway.
