I am the only user of my lap-top and I don't have it connected to any other computers/networks, only a printer, but if the so called network (Network and Sharing Control Panel on Vista) has my connection to my ISP as private, will I still be able to connect to and use my printer alright? - Or does even a printer used at home (to be connected and working alright with the lap-top) need to be set to public?

Also, if that "Network Discovery" setting is set to off - Will/can the lap-top still connect to the printer alright?
