Hi,

There's a 090 number which costs £5 per call. My phone is on contract so i can call it, and my house phone is broken...

If i go to a payphone and put in £10 will i be able to make the call? or do payphones not accept 090 numbers?

Please tell me how much i will need to put in one of the normal BT payphones if the call costs £5 for the WHOLE call, not per minute...

Thanks, in advance!

  1. According to BT's official price list, you cannot call this type of service.

The price list gives a price of £2/minute for all regular premium rate "09" numbers that are charged by call duration.

However, the list also says that "calls to fixed fee services are barred from BT Public Payphones, with the exception of those classed as social inclusion."

So, it looks unlikely that you could make this call from a BT Payphone, sorry!
