Question:

A question about a baby cardigan -- chest measurement.?

I am trying to challenge myself to jump from scarves to baby cardigans.

I noticed that chest measurements are needed. I got my DS's measurement already, but he has a big tummy - lol.

If i follow only his chest measurement is the cardigan going to fit his tummy?

Or should I follow his tummy's measurement?

Or meet the measurements halfway?

chest = 23"

tummy = 26" ; both with 1" allowance.

THANKS!!!!

  1. Check out your pattern and see.  Read through it a couple of times.  Count stitches on various rows, if needs be.  Does it allow for an increase at the tummy?  If not, use his tummy measurement as the chest measurement.

  2. I recommend sizing up.  Baby's grow so quickly.
