I just read the most disturbing article, that made me me sit and cry! A hospital in Las Vegas made an awful mistake of giving a newborn the wrong medication. To all that are affiliated with working in the hospital, please take special note to the environment, and please double check things. Whether you are working with the elderly or the very little, please take the time to care. Go to abcnews.com and read the article.

  1. Thanks, will read..

  2. Dennis Quaid's two surrogate children were given an accidental overdose of a blood-thinning drug (they were two of three total patients to receive wrong dosage) at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.

"Cedars-Sinai's chief medical officer, Michael L. Langberg, said in a statement that on Sunday three patients each received vials containing 10,000 units per milliliter of heparin instead of vials with a concentration of 10 units per milliliter."

  3. Sadly, it's happening everywhere, not just Las Vegas.  The best hospital in Los Angeles where all the celebs take their babys had a big scene a while back.

I think parents need to be aware of the risk and slow the pace down in the hospital and ask questions - especially when it comes to injections and other medications.
