I think I may have tugged on the chain for the light a little too hard. Now it doen't click. It's kind of like it's stuck pulled all the way out. Unfortunately, the light is off or I wouldn't worry about it. Does anyone know how to fix it or do I have to buy a new fan?

  1. try opening it up

it usually has some bolts on it

look inside see what you find

  2. call a electrition and he/she will tell you if it is compleatly stuffed up

  3. well why are you tugging so hard on chains.. when people say they were hanging from the ceiling fan, they didnt actually mean it. You would actually have to open up that plate and fix the chain. I would recommend no more horse play on the ceiling fan though.. thats optional

  4. all you have to do is get up on a chair and just push the balls one at a time back in. this always works for me! it is going to be a bit hard but it should work

  5. its just jamed, unjam it with a screwdriver or something.

  6. this should be a easy fix.  first make sure the power is OFF. THEN  take the light fixture of the fan off, this should get you into the part where the pull chain switch is.  try pulling the chain up and see if this unsticks it, if not then you can take the switch out. there should be a little nut on the inside to take it out.  If it has wire nuts then take out the old switch and replace with new one.  if no wire nuts  cut the wire to the switch and replace switch and use crimp connectors to hook wires back up.   good luck.
