A question about a new air conditioner?

I just got a new air conditioner the other day. And last night it did not come out at all. In fact, the new air conditioner is alot like my old one,it comes out cool sometimes and sometimes it does not come out cool at all. I am wondering what could be causing this? I have never had the air ducts in my house cleaned, could this be what is causing the air not to come out ,or at least not to come out cool? If not, what else could be causing the problem?

yOU CAN EXPECT APROX A 20 DEGREE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL (THE TEMP DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INTAKE AND SUPPLY AIR TO REGISTERS.G O OUTSIDE FEEL THE LARGER COPPER TUBE EXITYING A\C UNIT THIS IS THE SUCTION LINE AND IT SHOULD BE WET AND COLD LIKE A COLD BEER CAN WILL CONDENSATE, SO SHOULD YOUR SUCTION LINE. IF YOU CAN MEASURE TEMP OF SUCTION LINE AT OUTDOOR UNIT AND IF POSSIBLE AT THE A\CCOIL AT THE FURNACE. THE LARGER COPPER TUBE IS SUCTION AND IS COLD ALWAYS UNLESSA HEAT PUMP??? ANYWAYS THE TEMP AT A\C COIL SHOULD BE 40DEGREES  AT DESIGN CONDITIONS (80 DEG INDOOR 95 DEG AMBIENT } WITH 80 DEG INDOOR AIR 60 DEGREE AIR SHOULD FLOW OUT THE VENTS. ALSO HIGH EFFICIENCY DUSTFIGHTER FILTERS ARE GREAT FOR DUST BUT c**p FOR COOLING!! YOU LOSE APROX 1 TON OF AIR FLOW THROUGH UNIT USING ONE SUCH AS FILTRETE  FILTERS ETC! CHECK THERMOSTAT PROGRAMING OR SET IT TO MANUAL OFF OF PROGRAM SETTING.AT NIGHT IF ITS HOTTER INSIDE THANOUTSIDE THAN A\C 'S DONT WORK WELL THAT WAY AND CAN ICE UP. IT CAN ICE IF UNDERCHARGED AS WELL! CALL YOUR DUDE BACK TELL HIM YOU DONT WANT MORE THAN 20 DEGREES SUPERHEAT AT THE A\C UNIT!! MEANING NO WARMER SUCTION LINE THAN 60 DEGREES AT OUTSIDE UNIT AND EXPECT 40 DEGREES AT THE AC COIL GOOD LUCK

Call your installer back. They should take care of this under their first year warranty.

They could have a leak in the system or a problem with the indoor fan or controls.

If you have any problem with the duct work they should be able to determine that.

well who ever installed it left air in the condencer unit and line set, u pretty much have to get it recharged
