A question about animal mills?

I detest puppy mills of course,and would love to see them all shut down,but does anyone have concern for kittens? or birds? or guinea pigs,rabbits,snakes,fish,

livestock or any other kind of animal?

Puppies are not the only ones being bred in cruel conditions in tiny cages.

you are correct it happens for other animals - puppies are the most notorious though because mother dogs are more intelligent than (for example) Guinea Pigs. so they really suffer more mentally because of lack of handling etc.

really though you shouldnt buy any animal from a pet store - nor should you support a pet store that sells animals

Hi, good question, i to are very concerned and outraged about puppy mills. And yes i do worry about all those other animals. yes i think that puppy mills are VERY I MEEN VERY BAD! But there are worse things that happen to animals, such as dancing bears, bear baiting etc.

If you do not know what these are go to www.wspa.org.au then look up the top and click on wspa's work and click on wildlife or farm welfare and click on something that interests you. It will really open your eyes and see what is really going on, we need to help all of our animals big or small.

Here is a bit of an idea of what bear baiting is etc.

Bear baiting in Pakistan is possibly the world’s most savage blood sport. With their teeth removed, bears are tied to a post and set-upon by fighting dogs.

Life away from the fighting ring is also miserable for these bears. Between events, the bears are commonly tethered on a short chain through the nose and many bears are chronically ill due to poor diet.

I ;like you have concerns, however the other pets you mentioned are rarely in the news. That is what ultimately draws attention and reform of some type.   And you are right people will and do exploit many animals and things for profit.EM
