A question about black people?

Ive been noticing that a lot of black men have their fingernails all trimmed short except the pinky!! I dont understand what this is supposed to mean, I never see any white people do this? Also another thing, why do black women dress like black men? Ive been noticing half the black women I see everyday dress like theyre in a gang.. Can anyone shed some light on these things? Im blown away

I know when this little fad started, it was because people (not only blacks) could scoop up cocaine with it. But I don't know why people do it now when most of the time its obvious they don't do that stuff... I guess a fashion statement.

why are you concerned about black people?  you seem to notice a lot of things that sound contrived.  are you considering dating black or something?  be proud of who you are and stop posturing about black people, it's really boring.

Although many people above me say it's for cocaine use, that is not what the long nail is for. They usually use it to bust open blunts and some may carry a dull box cutter for the same thing. And I'm black and I live in a predominately black neighborhood and I haven't noticed the clothing style you speak of. Concluding that they're in a gang is pretty prejudice and you sound highly ignorant. I think you need find something better to do with your life than watching black people.....try to find a hobby!

The long fingernail is to sniff crack/cocaine.

All drugies have a long pinky fingernail, not just Black people.

a good nail to scratch/pick with. the big clothes could be for a number of reasons. i used to do it when i was younger cause thats what was in style at the time. now she could be a d**e, she could be in a gang, maybe she's a little overweight & not comfortable with her body, in style in the area you live in or maybe she just likes how it looks

I think you tend to focus to much on black people in general. I don't know if it's an obsession, or if its hate, but I've seen people of all races have these tendencies. I've seen the gangster wanna be white guys trim their nails the same way, and I've seen a lot of latino men copy this a well. I've seen girls of all races dress in men's clothing. As a matter a fact, I was just telling some co-workers how I seen a white woman coming from the gym the other day, that I wasn't even able to tell she was a woman until I she held the door open for me. She too had on baggy jeans, a man's t-shirt from old navy (I know because I got my brother the same t-shirt when he come to visit me) with a ball cap (short hair cut just like  mans).

So I think it would be best for you to stop generalizing and focusing on one specific group of people and understand that people of all races have someone who does these things.

i've seen a lot of people including all races who have the same thing with the pinky nail really long.

i'm suggesting that they are cokeheads and they scoop the coke up in their nail.
