On the bottom, what does it mean by Top Half and Bottom Half? Does anyone know why they are divided into two? I don't understand why it is, the event is the same, the weight class is the same.

Why is there a division of Top Half and Bottom Half?

  1. Top Half and Bottom half, refers to the Draw of players within each class. A boxer placed in the bottom half of the draw only can meet a boxer placed in the Top half in the final for the gold. the ones placed in the same half never can fight for the gold. it applies to Tennis and other sports as well
