  1. Coffee is the bean, black coffee is grounded coffee with water.. Latte is shots of espresso with mostly steamed milk, Mocha is shots of espresso, Chocolate syrup and steamed milk, foam.. Espresso- darker beans roasted and is very strong because it has very much less water than blacl filtered coffee... I hope this explains some...Java- just another name for coffee...

  2. normal coffee is just plain brewed coffee.  Latte's are half steamed milk, half espresso.  Mocha's are chocolatey flavored espresso.  The difference if whats in it (coffee, espresso, milk, foam, flavoring etc)

  3. The biggest difference is price!

  4. Lattes and cappucinos have steamed / foamed milk.   Mochas have chocolate in them (chocolate + coffee = mocha).  Java and Joe are just other slang names for coffee.  Espresso is double-strength coffee, and the beans have been roasted at least twice.

  5. Here here! I've never been able to fathom what all these different things are - or indeed what they're SUPPOSED to be - except as a means for certain people and/or companies to make excessive profits out of a large tin of supermarket Gold Blend ! ! !

  6. A 'normal' coffee is either freeze dried instant - chuck it in the cup and add water or drip filtered - hot water drips through fresh ground beans.  Lattes and mochas, etc are made by forcing hot water through the ground beans at high pressure which gives you a small amount of creamy and very strong coffee extraction to which you then add steamed milk and flavourings - they have very little water in them wheras 'normal coffee is mostly water.  I hope that covers it!
