Question:

A question about corsets??

I know this may seem like a dumb question, but I have a corset which is ribbed and it has lace at the back. I was wondering how you make it tight so it makes your waist smaller, cause whenever I do it nothing happens and the back sort of overlaps.. I was wondering whether it was because I don't have a very big bust (34A)??

Sorry I seem unclear but i'm not sure how to explain it.

I mean I want it to look like this:

Mine doesn't have the lace in the front, but that's the ideal shape I want.

Anyone have any advice or something? :)

  1. get someone to help you. you just have to leave the top a little loose and the bottom as tight as possible.

    the string on the top should be longer from side to side but super short on the bottom.  are you tying the corset on the bottom? this helps too. i always have one of my sisters tie up my corset.

    hope this helps.

  2. Sounds like you have the wrong size.

    A proper corset should be bought 4 inches (10cm) smaller than your narrowest waist size. ie if your waist size is 28 inches then you should buy a corset that is sized 24 inches. When tightened to the required snugness there should be a 1 to 2 inch gap at the back depending on how tight the corset is.

    You can put a corset on yourself, it just takes a bit of practice. Have a look at this;

    I use this except that I place the loose loops over a door k**b or similar, walk forward to take up the slack then tighten as done in the video. Every time the there is more slack in the loops I walk forward. This gives me both hands free at all times. When the desired tightness is achieved then just flip the loops off the door k**b and tighten.

    You also need to wear the corset in. Initially tighten the corset so that it is firm not tight. Wear for a couple of hours and then tighten a little more. Keep repeating this process over 2 or three days until the desired snugness is achieved. This allows the stitching in the corset to take the pressure evenly, protecting your purchase, and also allowing the corset and boning to mould to your body giving a great overall comfortable snug fit. Remember that the corset needs to be pleasurable snug with the pressure evenly taken over the body.  It should feel like a tight embrace or firm hug, there should be no tight spots,
