I'm donating my hair in a couple weeks and I was going to donate it to locks of love. However, i heard that locks of love actually sells their hair pieces. Now i think i'm gonna donate it to wigs for kids. Does anyone know if locks of love really sells thier hair pieces? thanks.

  1. Locks of Love requires that it be 10 inches in a braid to be made into a wig. Otherwise, this may happen:

    Please Note:

Shorter hair will be separated from the ponytails and sold to offset the manufacturing costs. Although the shorter hair cannot be used in the hairpieces, it still greatly helps to reduce costs.

Gray hair will be accepted and sold to offset the manufacturing costs.

  2. First of all, hats off to you!!! What you are doing is really for a wonderful cause. Personally, I would not fall for a bunch of hear say. I am sure, locks of love has a website and even a 1-800 number you can call. Since I am not to sure about their website, you may want to just try www.locksoflove.com If that website is incorrect and you're not able to find the right website then you can still do Plan B and donate your hair to wigs for kids.
