My Mom gave me some earrings but I put them on and immediately my ears started to itch and burn and the hole I put them in got swollen. This isn't the first time this has happened. Whats up?

  1. Your ears may be really sensitive. You should try earrings that are made for sensitive ears and see if that works.

If it doesnt work, you may just be allergic to the metal.

  2. u might b allergic to cheaper earrings..i am, i have to buy the kind made out of sterling silver...so try only wearing ones that are sterling silver and see if it still happens...it will say it on the box or w/e that holds the earrings

  3. you are probably allergic to nickle.  just get earrings with anti nickle metal or the ones that say sensitive earrings or hypo allergenic.  or something.

  4. You're probably allergic to a certain metal or whatever those earrings are made of. I used to only be able to wear 14 kt gold earrings or else that would happen to me.

  5. you are probably allergic to some type of metal used in the earrings!! i would suggest trying sterling silver ones, if they do the same thing, cross them off your list and then try a few other types until you find one that doesnt make your ears freak out!! good luck!!

  6. you are allergic to something in the earrings, most likely the nickel, but some people are allergic to gold or silver. idk what the earrings are made of but take them out =) most stores carry earrings that are nickel-free, im not sure how common gold and silver free earrings are
