  1. Watch the Guniness advert Evolution with the music Rythm  of Life that should explain all other answers.

  2. as in evolution, they split, to form a different type of life  form.

  3. Ermm simply because species branch out, subdivide and evolve seperately.

  4. Maybe God stopped evolution when he saw how it was going.

  5. Sorry,i didn't read all the posts here,

    Nature has a 'back-up'.

When we (Humans) finally get it wrong,

    (which we have !).

There will be a second wave of 'homo

(no jokes class !) sapiens(?) to live

on this EARTH (GAYA) as it should be.

IMAGINE ! THE EARTH WITH NO HUMANS,

    BEUITIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. We didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor with them.   The lines of descent split millions of years ago.

  7. If Homo sapiens sapiens evolved from the much stupider Homo erectus, why are there still stupid people around?

  8. This is a simplification of the evolutionary process, and when people say it, it tends to illustrate their lack of understanding of the theory.

People DID NOT evolve from monkeys.  People AND monkeys evolved from a common ancestor, but took divergent evolutionary paths some several million years ago.  Why those paths diverged was probably the result of isolated populations and random mutations thereon, plus local conditions that supported survival of certain characteristics.  That's the short answer.  The long answer would require you to read a couple books or two on biology, chemistry, genetics and statistics, for starters.

I appreciate that some people do not believe the theory of evolution, but if they want to seriously attack the theory, they need to have at the very least a basic understanding of what it is all about.

  9. That's a misconception. Humans did not evolve FROM monkeys, monkeys and humans evolved from the same ancestor called. generically "hominids", which is why apes, monkeys and humans share similar skeletal and genetic characteristics while being distinctly separate species linked to that common ancestor.

  10. We are still monkeys. When unhappy apes behave badly, because of the actions of governmens we call them criminals and terrorists and pay the police to oppress them. The reason we can answer what the meaning of life is because there isn't one. The only meaning s to servive, overcome and advance as a result of trouble. We can only advance from the trouble caused by our governments. We are a product of the earth and drivern by nature to do this. We are dumb and perpetual at best. We learn our behaviour and perpetually, accentuate it by doing onto others as was done onto us. We have no choice at all.

    Nature is our father.

  11. Different habitats, different tribes of primates, different gene pools.

  12. because we defeated the monkeys in a big mythical war 10,000 years ago -and they were doomed to be dumba**es forever like in some stupid Greek tale

  13. its because we came from Jesus christ

  14. This question is a repeat of some creationist nonsense. Why are there still cockroaches that were here before the dinosaurs? Only a few individuals off any species evolve into different species. Look at a patch of strwberries. Why don't all of them become pies? Why don't all trees become newspapers. Your question has similar illogic.

  15. a good question...but we still are humans

  16. Evolution splits up... like a tree...

One branch of monkeys and one of humans...

It's about adapting and some monkeys didn't need to...

  17. I am afraid that question has no answer not even through science, no one knows whether the evolution theory is even real.

  18. monkeys rejected god stupid.

By the way if you don't even know the difference between apes and monkeys you'll never understand evolution dumbass.

  19. Because those monkeys decided to stay in the jungle. (They evolved to the enviroment of the jungle, and monkey is better than human in the jungle)

Our ancestors however, went to the plains to hunt and explore, and so we evolved to the plains, where we had to stand up to see, and to walk the great distances.

  20. Evolution doesn't make a species extinct, one species branches off from another and then you have two species.

  21. An oldie, but a goodie... It's because we shared a common ancestor, not because we evolved from them. The apes and monkeys you see today are just as evolved as we are.

Evolution isn't about ending up with the cleverest life-form, it's about fitting into a niche so that a species can make a 'living' from it. Monkeys make a very good living hanging out in trees and eating what they can find up there... Fish do it in the sea... Tigers do it in dense jungle and cheetahs do it out on the plains.

We, meanwhile, do it by making tools to counteract our disadvantages.

  22. i often wonder this myself lol!

  23. God did it fool
