anywhere in my state that I'm aware of. I plan on contacting some of the Islamic organizations nearby, but I'm concerned what to do. As you know foods purchased at supermarkets are mass produced and not slaughtered in the halal, kosher way. My husband cannot eat fish for the rest of his life, so what do we do if we can't get halal foods?

  1. where do u live

  2. I'm in a similar situation and finding farmers like soms suggested isn't always easy.  We drive 90 minutes one way to buy halal meat but Alhamdulillah, my husband's boss is also Muslim and always takes us to the mosque with him (also 90 minutes away).  We are considering moving in the next year or so, but for many that's not always an option either.

  3. I know for a fact there are various pockets of Muslims in Oklahoma, though not as many as in Florida (where I live).  Nonetheless I  found the following:

    Middle Eastern Market and Deli

    5459 South Mingo Road

    Tulsa, OK 74146-5738  (918) 665-0979

    Kabani's

    15 North Harvard

    Tulsa OK 74115-8221  (918) 834-3400

    Indo Pak Bangla

    Halal Meat and/or Grocery

2615-C South Memorial Drive Tulsa OK 74129-2601

    (918) 664-1391

  4. Salam.. if he cant find any halal shops just get vegetarian meals with out meat or chicken..

  5. Slaughter an animal yourself...in the halal way.

  6. Try this site and see if you find anything: http://www.zabihah.com/

  7. He can eat vegetables, so it will be fish and veggies. If there is nothing close by to you, you can always move I guess.

Hello.  Below is a link to the different Islamic centers and such in Tulsa.  Call any of them and ask where they get their halaal meat.  If you are about twenty minutes away, you can make a trip there with a styrofoam cooler in the car, stock up on enough meat for a couple of weeks or so, and put them in the freezer and thaw as needed, inshAllah.

I grew up in OK, over in Lawton down in the southwest part of the state.  Sometimes I miss it, especially the wildlife refuge with longhorn cattle and bison....

May Allah make your husband's arrival safe and bless you both when you are reunited.

    Fi Aman Allah,

    Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid

  9. Find a local farmer and buy your sheep and chickens from him and slaughter them yourselves. Just make sure the animal feed is halal as well or else the meat will still be haram.

  10. i was told that if we dont have a hallah meat shop we should eat jewish meat in there shop since it is kosher to, it says this in the koran.

  11. Well, you can order halal meat online, apparently.  I never have because there are plenty of shops where I live but if he enjoys eating meat, I guess you can give it a try.  I googled it and found this site:

    http://www.myhalalmeat.com/webshop/custo...

    Maybe it can help you.
