I remember hearing or reading that there is a insect that enslaves beetles and rides them, steering them with there antennas, was it ants? Can anyone link me to any information about this? I have searched all over the internet and can't find anything about it.

  1. Army ants such as the ones in South America, or even driver ants of Africa do this, or soldier leaf-cutter ants, to name a few species of ants that do this. They enslave other insects to carry things for them, grooming, tending to pupae or larvae cells, or what have you, tending to certain tasks. They are highly organized social insects. If another insect will not work the other insects will kill it.
