A question about masculationism, education and marriage?

A lot of times when the topic of divorce comes up and it's prevalence within the American society many American men say that some men might prefer non american women because such women would be uneducated and submissive.....this often made me wonder why such women would be considered uneducated, a lot on non american women who marry american men have college degrees and work, many of them even come to the US and to get degrees and jobs, yet because they do not fit the image of the modern feminist american woman when it comes to marriage(the carrie bradshaw type) they are considered uneducated and overly submissive even though most of the times non american women work just as hard and are quite happy with their marriages and the divorce rates in marriages between american men and non american women is a lot lower than those with american women....

As an educated, intelligent non-American woman- I think you are right on one thing- I am certainly not the submissive type!  Although I do agree that men and women are better suited to different things- careers are one thing that men and women do equally well.  And if I ever did marry an American (not likely, as I doubt I would ever move there)  I wouldn't put up with any c**p- but I also see marriage as a one-time, forever deal.  BTW- divorce rates here aren't as high as divorce rates in the US- but they aren't that far behind.  And I have never heard anyone refer to an Aussie woman as uneducated and submissive (esp. as our education system is much easier for everyone to access than the American one)

the divorce rate is probably much lower because more non american women will let their husbands do whatever they want to do, and the women will let them get away with it, because they dont realize that they deserve better.
