My daughter has a headache and I was wondering if anyone knows what is ok to give for a headache, because I have the children's tylenol plus cold. It says it is for headaches for a cold, but she does not have a cold just a headache. I prefer not to give any medication at all, but what are the new safe doses for these tylenol, something changed, hasn't it??

  1. Hi, as a mother myself I know what you are going through.  My son has migraines (he's had them since age 8) and its tough to sit by and not do anything when your child is hurting.  The thing about tylenol is that there was a debate whether or not its safe to give children at all, I think that debate is still ongoing.  Dosages did not change.  In lieu of giving tylenol, do you have children's motrin?  If so, I would give her that for the head pain.  If not, regular tylenol is okay give her the smallest dose possible based on her weight class.  I hope she feels better soon.  You should also talk with her pediatrician so that you have something around that will help in the future.  Hope this helps!
