I understand that online college is more expensive than a regular school. But is it worth it and will most universities accept an associates degree from an online school.

  1. There are many ways to earn credits "online," so your question needs to be a little more specific.  The cost of online courses depends on what school you are taking them from, so it is impossible to say whether or not they are "more expensive" than a regular class you would sit in.  Many schools offer both online and regular classes, but charge the same for both.  The second part of your question also depends on several factors.  What university are you applying to?  Some accept online credit, and some don't.  Only a person who knows the exact requirements of every university available would be able to tell you if "most" of them would accept the degree or not.

  2. Please steer clear of online, for-profit schools such as university of phoenix, capella, penn foster, stratford career, US career, walden, devry, strayer, kaplan and others:  http://www.capellauniversitysucks.us

Please instead look into the traditional colleges and universities that offer online courses.

  3. You will find many negative comments and criticisms of Capella University, an for-profit on-line school on the Capella Facts web site - http://www.capellafacts.org/capella_univ...

  4. I do not necessarily agree that online colleges are by definition more expensive than campus programs. While this may be true for some school comparisons it is not a general rule. I think you will find that as long as you receive your associates degree from a regionally accredited college that it will be accepted by any college you wish to attend down the road and by potential employers. Some colleges choose not to accept all credits previously obtained but that is true both online and on campus. I would recommend contacting a number of regionally accredited schools to ask about their particular programs and any reciprocity they might have with other potential schools down the road. This site has a good list of accredited online colleges offering associate degrees for you to begin your search:

    good luck!

  5. It's worth it if it fits your schedule better than going to a regular class.  As far as whether a university will accept on-line classes, you should contact the university to verify that.

  6. online school is just bad you will just slack off and dont want to do anything i know people that do that its better to do regular school

  7. The real question what school are we talking about? Is it Regionally accredited? A lot of "on-line" only schools, that is schools without brick and mortar classrooms are only nationally accredited. Credits earned at nationally accredited schools will NOT usually transfer to a 4 year B/M university.

They are generally more expensive and have enrollment agreements that are iron clad contracts that could leave you owing a ton of money. Watch out for hidden cost too.
