A question about protein drinks???

im 16, and i don't want to bulk up but maintain my weight. wil protein shakes help me, cuz i read they bulk u up if u train hard. i train around 4 times a week, but wanna keep my weight, not bulk up. is this the right choice for me???

  1. Protein contain half calori than carbodhydrates


  2. Bulking up had nothing to do with protien shakes. In order for you to bulk up you will have to be eating ALOT. Calorie consumtion in great quantities = gain weight = bulking up. Moderate what you eat and you will not gain weight. Also, You repitions on sets should be 10-20 instead of 3-8. The more reps you do the longer the muscles grow. The lower reps the bigger they grow.

  3. Everyone needs protein, as long as you just take a powder with water that ISN'T a weight gainer (meaning, it should have about a hundred calories or so, meaning about 20-25g of protein per serving)

  4. A friend of mine tried the protein shakes/drinks and he trains as well and he bulked up. But  it depends on what protein drink you choose, there are many out there.
