How do you tell the difference between refined, and normal sugar?

Is it indicated whether the sugar is refined in the nutritional facts?

What kinds of things have refined sugar in them?

  1. Refined sugar is white and contains no nutrients. Normal sugar is brown in color and have some nutritional value.

  3. raw sugar comes is found in a few different colors. but never in white. thats the sign of a refined sugar. most food products have some quantity of refined sugar. very few food products have raw sugar in them.
