I have Dish network for TV, and along with the programing package it comes with sirius sattelite radio, so I was wondering that if I bought a sirius sattelite radio would I have to subscribe to that service a second time?

  1. I think you do.  I have sirius in two cars and on sat at home on the TV.  I pay for each car subscription.  So you can bet money on the fact that sirius will charge you for your portable.

But the service is so good I would hate to lose it so I happily pay both bills.

  2. the deal with the Sirius on Dish is that Dish made a deal with Sirius to replace Music Choice as their radio station brand. so you only get the music channels on Dish, and Sirius you pay to not only get the music channels, but also for the Talk channels and adult channels (which is the channels with the most use of bad words that the FCC wouldn't allow on AM & FM radio or OTA TV.) and other channels like the Emergency Alert Channel and the Weather & Traffic Channels.

  3. yes you must pay- they are greedy jerks like that- but you should write they or a congress man and have them change there policy !!!!!!!

i have sirius in two cars and the monthly rate went down because i had 2 units !!!!!!- the normal rate is 12.99=-but with a nother unit it dropped to 6.99- and i had to buy my units-but i hear they were giving away free units-check the site

  4. you would have to pay a second time but there' no need unless you want it for your car...what i did was hooked my tv up to my stereo with one wire from Best Buy and now my sirius plays thru my stereo and it sounds way better than if i had bought their small boomboxes that come with their packages... the added benefit is that since your dish satellie is already hooked up in the best spot outside you dont have to worry about playing around with an additional sirius antenna to get a good signal; which can be a major pain
