A question about the Chinese & Korean?

is there some kind of hate between them? i've noticed some Chinese people i know really really dislike Koreans. is it maybe only the few i've encountered or is this kinda everywhere? Have any of you heard of this?

Generally,

Chinese dislike Korean and Japanese.

Korean dislike Japanese and look down on Chinese.

Japanese look down on Korean and Chinese.

Taiwanese dislike Chinese and Korean.

Japanese and Taiwanese love each other.

because Taiwan wants to be an independent country and japan support Taiwan.

The Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans ALL have bad blood between them due to many complex issues that have occurred over many years of human history.

I'm taking Korean and my teacher expressed how "stuck up" the Japanese are and described how whenever the Japanese wanted to invade China they would just plow through Korea to get there since it's a convenient route geographically.

An example of why the Chinese and Japanese might dislike each other is the Rape of Nanking, which you can look up on the web. During WW II especially, the Japanese earned the hatred of the Chinese.

Even though Korea is technically an older culture than Japan, the Japanese tend to look down on Koreans and they fight with them over ownership of small islands and things like that.

During the Korean War bad blood was freshly established between the Koreans and Chinese.

So you see, while it's a broad and inaccurate generalization to say "all people of a certain nationality are prejudiced against another nationality", there are plenty of reasons why South East Asia is a tense area and why some individuals might harbor resentments.
