I have some questions about the upcoming 2008-09 toronto raptors season.

1. How many wins do you think the Toronto Raptors will have this season? 30 ?40 ? 50 ???

2. If the Raptors make it to the Playoffs, do you think they will be able to get past the first round? Considering with the new acquisition of six-time all-star Jermaine O'neal?

3. Do you think we have a new trio? If yes, who is included in it?

  1. About the Toronto Raptors for the 2008-2009 season....

    1. I don't see the Raptors as an elite team just yet but I do see them winning 45-50 games if Jermaine O' Neal manage to stay healthy. The bench just doesn't impress me one bit but there fortunate to play in the East, so they'll likely get a shot at the playoffs.

    2. I honestly don't think they have enough to get past the first round, even with O'Neal healthy. Like I said before, the bench just doesn't impress me enough and losing Carlos Delfino oversea hurts the bench quite a bit, especially with underachievers like Bargnani and Kapono. To get past the first round means that they have to play against a weaker opponent like Atlanta and have their front line be consistent because they can't afford injuries at this point with lack of depth.

    3. I wouldn't add Jermaine O'Neal as part of the trio just yet. Bosh and Calderon will produce but O'Neal will have to take the hit if he wants to make this trio.

Overall, I think that Toronto has a solid team, but not enough to win it all this year, on paper at least.

  2. 6th seed I belive and play the Caves in first round

    Get about 51 wins

Make it to the secoond round and then from there they take on Orlando and go to 6-7 games with Orlando cause of getting Jermaine

  3. I think that the Raptors could win 50 games this year. Depending on the health of Jermaine O'Neal. If O'Neal is healthy, then the raptors stand a chance to be one of the top 3 in the East (with Boston and Detroit), if O'Neal isn't healthy then Orlando and Cleveland will be trying to go for that spot, with Toronto in the 6-8 spot range in the East fighting for their playoff lives along with Atlanta, Indiana, Chicago and Philly.

I'm not sure I'd agree that there is a new trio in Toronto...just yet. (not like the one Boston has anyway). Some of the Toronto players have to prove they are ready to win with consistancy first, and O'Neal has to prove he can stay healthy and produce again.

If you had to claim a big 3, It's Bosh, Calderon and O'Neal. I think Toronto is going to miss Ford though, cuz Ford really helped them out alot when it came to the quality of PG they had, and that kind of depth will be missed in Toronto.

As I said though, it's going to depend on the health of O'Neal. O'Neal has to play more than 65 games this year and produce well in them for Toronto to have a chance.

  4. 58 wins

    1Magic

    2pistons

    3raptors

30celtics-1-81-they win last game cuz other team dies of laughter at them

  5. 1. 50 wins, 4th in conference (Boston, Philadelphia, Orlando)

    2. Lose in 2nd round to Detroit

    3. You needed to have a duo to have a trio. I guess Calderon-Bosh-O' Neal could work.

  6. 1. I think they are a high 40 or low 50 team in da east.

    2. Yes but it really depends on who they get matched up with. But if they get atleast 4th seed they shouldnt have any1 2 worry bout till da second

    3.  Bosh(4 sure), Jermaine(4 sure), and Calderon (i guess)

  7. 1) i think they will win around 54, cuz of jermaine o'neal

    2) of course they will make the playoffs, the east is very weak, they have like 4 great teams and the raptors are very consistant and will make it out of the 1st round easily, but lose in the 2nd round

    3) Big 3 is Bosh, o'neal and calderon, calderon is a beast with his assists
