why does everyone hate the fact that jacob imprinted on renesmee? i mean its not like he can help it, and sure i was pissed when he didnt want bella near her, but he just wants her to be happy he doesnt have romantic feelings for her yet. and as long as he keeps phasing into a wolf he can live forever.

Actually, i was really happy that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. I knew that Jacob would have to imprint on somebody (i even thought it would be Bella's mother for a sec), but the fact that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee was even better! Edward's reactions to this fact was priceless!!!

I don't hate it at all!!! The only reason he got so close to Bella before she had Nessie is because deep down inside, some how he knew that she would have Nessie. That's why he even liked her. Then when he saw Nessie for the first time he imprinted on her. When Bella woke up he knew that Nessie had blood and did not want Bella to kill her. Bella didn't want him to like Nessie because before she had Nessie he got mad because Nessie (E.J.) was hurting her! Then, Leah Clearwater yelled at Bella and so Bella did not want to see Jacob and she was very mad at him!!! That's why she at attacked him. After a while she was fine with the idea when Nessie called Jacob "My Jacob"

because it's disgusting. lets set aside the age difference for a moment, and think about how he was madly in love with her MOTHER? imagine making out with your boyfriend and having him thinking "heyy she kisses just like her mom". that's pretty revolting if you ask me.

I don't know, I was happy when he imprinted on her. I was kind of mad when he didn't let Bella near her, but he wanted her to be safe and what not. Yup, he could live forever, and that would be awesome (I think he's the best person in the book).

It's creepy!  He had a romantic relationship/sexual feelings for HER MOTHER, and is now "in love" with her.  The entire "doesn't have sexual feelings for her" thing is just a coverup so nobody can seriously attack Smeyer for this.

People hate it because this 'imprinting' is a cop out. It means the characters don't have to have chemistry, or the will to choose who they want to be with. They just suddenly become madly enamoured. Not to mention that Jacob imprints on Renesmee when she is barely five minutes old, and no matter how fast she matures she will not have the time to grow up emotionally in seven years. It was a plot device to make Jacob 'happy', that was honestly poor thought out and last minute.

i didn't hate that part I'm actually glad jacob found someone other then bella and I'm also happy that him and bella could stay friends even with her as a vampire

I thought it was good because Jacob could finally just let Bella and Edward be. He wouldn't still be trying to win Bella over & break her and Edward up. I was glad that he finally found someone he could love, and that he could be happy with him & Bella just being friends. It was cute how Renesmee called him 'My Jacob.' (:

i don't hate it i think it's really cute actually because, just like quil and claire, he doesn't have sexual feelings for her [now]. he will be her everything. her friend, her confidante, her lover, or anything else that she needs him to be.

when people read about it the first thing they think of is the sexual part but it's not like that at all.

the age she is now it'll be more of a brotherly love then when she DOES get older it may become more physical love. but they will always love each other it's just different kinds of love.

but yea sorry i kinda went off on a different topic.

so to answer the question: I personally don't hate it. I really liked it actually

I think its great that he imprinted on on Renesmee, but some people feel differently. I used to hate Jacob, and I thought that if he could just imprint on somebody he could get out of Bella's life and everyone would be happy. But of course he manages to s***w up this plan by imprinting on Bella's child. I also think he had no right to give Renesmee the nickname Nessie before Bella even got to know her own daughter. But in the book everybodys happy now, and I like Jacob.
