I was wondering what some of the choices Roy Hobbs made, and the outcomes of them, since I was kind of confused about it.

His biggest decision was to take the money that was offered to him as a bribe to throw the World Series. He accepts this money (after a counter-offer was made by him and agreed upon), strikes out in his final at-bat and by doing so causes the Knights to lose the World Series. His deception is found out by the media and Hobbs ends up in disgrace.
