I have a young red tailed boa, she is about three feet. I have her in a 830 litre custom built tank. Is this too big for her?. She eats regularly and shed perfectly, however i have noticed that she doesn't move around alot, she generally stays on one side of the tank. She does mission around alot when im holding her or she's chilling with me while i watch a movie.

  1. The rule here is “the bigger, the better.” The idea is to provide your animal with enough room to stretch out, and for a temperature range within its environment- the heated area does need to be large enough for the entire snake to bask.  Ideally, you should provide an enclosure at least 6’L X 2’W X 2’H, which is about 700 liters, so your cage is fine.

  2. way to big snakes get stressed out being in that large of a cage if you want it to die from stress keep it in the cage if you want a happy healthy snake get a smaller home for now

  3. you can never have a tank to big :) aslong as it warm enough, its perfects
