A question about the slim playstation 2 system..

Question

i was wondering if there is a way that i can play the copies of the ps2 games with out having to install a driver on my slim playstation 2 system..

i'm looking for any modship that can just be connected, not installed which mean that i don't want to open the slim playstaion 2 system.. i just want to connect anything.. also if there is a cd like something that enable the boot cd for the SLIM playstaion 2 i would like to know the name of it..

Sorry, you have to get one installed, but there are vids on you tube that show you how to do it by yourself

you have 4 options to mod your ps2 without soldering a chips to it-

1. swapmagic + magickeys - $22- swapmagic is a boot disc for the ps2 wich allows copies to be run. it shouldnt require opening the console but you need to use the "magic keys" to hold down various sensors and when i tried to do this i found one of them impossible and totally screwed up, i had to open the console and do alot of work to fix the problem. its like 100 percent compatible with single layer games, but 0 percent with dual layer games, a list of which can be found here- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pla... another downside is that you need to put in the swapmagic disc, then swap it with the copy every time you use your ps2

2. swapmagic - $20 - same as above but rather than buying the magic keys as well, jus open the ps2 and sellotape the sensors down. its VERY VERY easy, and its what i do for other people after my bad experience with magic keys.

3. memor32 - $55 - this is basicly a modchip in a memory card, u just connect it to a computer to install the hacked firmware to it, and plug it into the ps2 and your done. its about 70 percent compatible, and gets regular updates. also by buying it ou get a 32MB memory card (4x as big as a standard one)

4. turn a standard memory card into a hacked one - price varies-

this is pretty much the same as the memor32 idea, but its more compatible and you do it to a standard sony memory card. the downsides are that it takes up a little bit of space on the memory card, and too do it in the first place you need to have a method of booting unsigned code. this could be action replay max, or u could get yourself a swapmagic disc which can do this, and dont bother sorting out the sensors as booting unsigned code with swapmagic doesnt require this

5. a combo of 1 / 2 and 4. what i do. use option 4 to play most games without the negatives of swapmagic, and you have swapmagic to play any games that pose a problem for option 4.
