  1. I don't feel it would be a problem.   My son is almost 18 months old and he uses a standard size pillow.  I put his spiderman pillowcase on it and he sleeps on it all night.  The one thing I will stress is that the pillow should be very flat.  I personally don't feel comfortable with the thick fluffy pillows.  I recently purchased a toddler bed for my son because he is climbing out of his crib, but he won't stay in it yet.  We will be patient.  Good luck

  2. A pillow is fine, but I would wait on the bed.  If she's not climbing out of the crib then leave her there.

I tried to put my daughter in a toddler bed when she was two, b/c the neighbor's little girl (who was older) was in one.  My daughter was constantly getting out of bed and wouldn't go to sleep.  I still have problems with her going to bed on time.

My son is now two and I plan on keeping him in his crib until he is able to climb out of it.    I'm guessing at least another six to nine months, then we'll discuss a toddler bed.

  3. Not at all, I introduced a pillow into my daughters crib about that age. Good luck with the bed though, two is awfully early to expect them to actually stay there.

  4. no    problem  at   all

  5. she should already be in a real bed.

  6. No problem at all. The bed sets for toddlers come with a standard pillowcase. We just moved my daughter to her big girl bed(she's 20 months) and she keeps asking for a pillow, we just have to wait till payday, lol. Another thing they love at this age is a huge pillow, I found 2 yards of tan material at wal-mart in the remnants, and made my daughter a huge pillow, she lugs it around the house and loves to jump on it too :D

By the way, they do recommend you change them to a big kid bed when they are the size to be able to climb out, not just after they do it ;) It's a long fall from the top of the crib, lol.

If you haven't bought the toddler bed yet, get a twin and save yourself the money in the long run. We just took a side off my daughter's crib and the transition was wonderful, she was happy as a pig in slop, lol. As soon as income tax comes in, she's getting a mattress on a bunk board in a twin frame(we already have the bed, lol). Just spend 20 dollars on a bed rail if your daughters a flopper, hehe. We let my daughter roll out of the converted crib a few times, she always got right back into bed and went to sleep, and she doesn't do it anymore ;D

    Good luck!

  7. You might want to use a smaller pillow if she can't seem to use a standard size.

A toddler bed is much better than having them climb, and fall out of a crib!

My 2 yr old G-son went into his toddler "car bed" right after his 2nd B-day.

I use small pillows  at my house for him, that I made.  They are made out of a fleece, and stuffed with poly filling.  They are easy to throw into the washer.  He loves the cuddly feeling of his pillows.
