  1. I would like to see them be pets. Pigs, chickens, ducks, and cows make awesome pets.

  2. If everyone became vegetarian chickens and sheep would still be used for eggs and wool etc. However if the world became vegan then the animals would regulate their own levels like animals in the wild do. Wild animals are governed by the 'circle of life', animals are born and die and do not become over populated. It's only through the intervention of humans that this cycle is disrupted.

  3. The vegetarians that live now don't eat the plants that go for chicken and sheep.

I'd say that the animals would live longer :D

  4. They would be free and happy and there would be more of them.

  5. Okay, first of all, vegetarianism probably won't take over that fast.  So as more and more people go veg, fewer and fewer animals will be bred for food.  You do realize that the overpopulation of so-called food animals is due to overbreeding, don't you?  Eventually, there will be a small population that will breed naturally--once you get rid of all the hormones and steroids that make chickens and turkeys grow top-heavy and barely able to move.

  6. there will always be nonvegitarians

  7. nothing... we're raising them for meat... they'd stopped being raised...

  8. we still use animals for other things such as clothing, and since we wouldn't be vegans, we could still milk cows and retrieve eggs from chickens.

other than that, i would think they would just be farm pets.

and farms would suffer, since their majority of business is the meat they sell.

now, if everyone became vegans (when we eat NOTHING at all from animals) the animals would probably just be pets, or become wild animals.

  9. They would create a conglomerate and sue!

  10. They would breed normally and not for meat they could be wild or used as pets.

  11. Thier numbers would gradually reduce as the commercial demand declined.

Many people would keep those animals as pets ( we have 12 cows and 40 sheep as pets ) just like they do with other animals.

some anti-veggies say they will go extinct, some say they will takeover. It cannot be both, can it ?

Cows, sheep, pigs and chickens will settle down to natural population levels in a natural environment.....just like every other animal we dont' eat.

We don't eat Aardvarks, and they haven't gone extinct or taken over the world, have they ?

  12. The chickens and sheep would eventually die, because all their food would be eaten by the vegetarians.

Since they'll die anyway, we may as well eat them now while they're healthy!

  13. hopefully the chickens will live lives outdoors and with their beaks intact and the sheep will live without having part of their rumps cut off. pigs will have tails and cows will have horns and tails.  all will see the sun, feel grass beneath their feet and have plenty of room to do whatever they want.... all contrary to modern meat production.

  14. The demand for the animals would go down, as would the supply.

Contrary to belief, they would NOT overpopulate and rule the world.

  15. The whole world wouldn't go vegetarian overnight. The population of vegetarians would increase and the number of farm animals for meat being bred would decrease, until no more were bred so there wouldn't be a problem.

Of course, they'd still be cows, hens and bees suffering and eventually being killed for milk, eggs and honey, as well as other animals for clothing, entertainment etc.

The same would be with veganism. It wouldn't be an overnight change, SO DON'T GO THINKING THE WORLD WOULD BE OVERRUN WITH FARM ANIMALS! They wouldn't breed so intensely without the farmer's exploitative intervention... e.g. there's one peice of equipment used to get dairy cow's pregnant that's referred to as the 'rape rack' by farmers themselves. Less and less breeding would happen as the demand for animal products decreased until there was no breeding at all. A society with a growing conscience (veganism) would likely provide caring homes and sanctuaries for the remaining animals, too.

  16. Nothing much. the sheep would be used for wool and the chickens for eggs.

  17. They will live happy lives.

  18. hahah wierd question.

they would over-populate and eventually die:/

    yahh that wouldnt be good

  19. They'd carry-on living their lives, and Mother Nature would take care of that course.  The layer and broiler chicken breeds would likely die-out, which would be fine seeing as they're a breed created through genetic manipulation.

  20. they would be super happy!
