I am psychology M.D. with 2 PhD what kind of visa I need to work and live in USA? and Can I work for the Goverment?

I have found this types (I am not sure if they are right):

•Employment First Preference (E1)

•Employment Second Preference (E2)

•Employment Third Preference (E3)

•Employment Fourth Preference (E4)

•Employment Fifth Preference (E5)

  1. Technically speaking they are not visas, rather they are just categories for employment based green cards and not visas.

    Out of those categories you have four categories which only you can determine if you are eligible for:

    E1: If you have extensive documentation showing sustained national or international acclaim and recognition in your field of expertise.

    E2: If you have 5 or more years work experience in your field.

    E3: You may be over-qualified so to speak, but this avenue is still a possibility if you do not fit the first to.

    E5: If you have between $500,000 and $1,000,000 to invest in a business which creates new jobs for U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

    However you should really look at the H1B, since you will find it difficult, if not impossible to find an employer willing to sponsor you for a green card straight off the bat. Which is why most go down the H1B route, see the link below for more information.

    As for government jobs, well that depends on which part of the government but most Federal jobs are restricted to U.S. citizens only.
