A question about washing shirts?

I have this really nice Radiohead shirt. It is XL and is made of 50% Organic cotton and 50% Recycled Polyester. It is also very light weight. My mom washed it the other day and put it with my other s***s. When I wore it today I noticed it kinda......shrunk. So what I want to know is how can I prevent this in the future and how should I wash this shirt next time it gets dirty?

  1. cold wash air dry

  2. wash it by hand in warm soapy water and let it dry naturally not spin or tumble dry

  3. Woolite makes laundry detergent for a wide variety of fabrics/colors.  Wash it warm water and dry it either on the "cool" setting on your dryer or hang in a shaded spot to dry.

  4. wash it in cold water and hang it up to dry

  5. Wash it in cold water and shape it and stretch it out with your hands an little bit and let air dry, then iron on appropriate settings.

  6. it could be that your mom dried it in the dryer and the dryer shrunk the shirt, so next time if you decide to machine wash it (in cold water), you should hang it up on a hanger in your room afterwards and just let it air dry...or you could just hand wash the shirt next time, and also hang it up to dry, just in case the material is too delicate to wash in the machine!!
