I have a friend who will be living in Italy and working for an American company while there (the American company is affiliated with an Italian company). He would like to stay there at least one year. He is going with his family. What does he have to do as far as visa, work permit or being sponsored, by whom, (and in what order), to live and work there legally? Thank you.

  1. A person who wanted to work in Italy must be sponsored by the company so that his family can be included in the processing of their stay in Italy.
