According to World Factbook there are approximately 96% of Muslims in U.A.E, don't you guys feel isolated in terms of practising your religion?

  1. There is no bias in UAE with regards to religion or ethnic background. And the government is very liberal in the matters religion other than Islam, compared to most Arab nations .. UAE is the most liberal. People are free to practice their religion.

Anyway, i dont think UAE has 96% muslims, Islam is the main religion, but defnitely not 96%.

  2. I dont need ten million other people of my religion to practice it

  3. Fact is, there are more Christians and Hindus in Dubai, than Muslims.  They just don't report that, because, err... wouldn't look too good.

  4. Some of the stats on World Factbook page goes back to 1982... so I wouldn't really call 96% so accurate... I'd say its around 70%.

I got plenty of Hindu and non-Muslim friends. Some of them have small worship areas at home, go the temple, observe their religious rites, wear clothes from their own culture, everything.

There are no restrictions of practicing your religion.

  5. I don't think that the percentage is still correct, if you are talking about citizens or emirates then the figure maybe correct but if your are talking about residents then I can say that it might be way lower than 96%. One good thing here is the UAE government allows other faiths to be practiced in their country.

"People need relation with God not religion".
