A question for Jamaicans...?

Just curious: When you answer a question on Y! answers; is the way you answer it the way you WOULD answer if you saw the person in reality?

For the record, I answer a question the I way I would if you asked me in person, based on the details and how serious the question is. I don't just answer to get 10 points.... That being said I answer as honestly as I can, even if it's not what the person wants to hear. That,of course depends on how serious the question appears to be (to me), because I know I tend to get sarcastic at times. What about you guys?

(and please people, I know some of unno thumbs-down happy, but ease off it for this one question if anybody decides to answer)

what does that have to do with being Jamaican? I'm half Jamaican Half Brit and I answer how i would in person but saying that i guess some things i would not say if i were with that person esp if it were a friend some things are easier to talk to a stranger about i guess. But that hasn't got anything to do with being Jamaican though

Really what does it have to do with Jamaicans ? Jamaican or not it should'nt really matter. Sometimes when I answer too honestly I get reported by someone so I tend to tone down my answers due to certain people on Yahoo Answers.

for u idiots who askin wat this have to do wit jamaicans and all a spell out dem rass heritage, unuh must have a comprehension problem. The girl says tht to get a jamaican persons perspective on the idea. some people on this thing are tooo uptight to take a joke sometimes like mr stingjam who report me fi mekin a simple joke about his complex hard fi understand questions. i cant help it if im not as verbose or intelligent but the sad thing is some people are so smart that they loose their common sence.

yuh know what unuh pple spend too much (raas)time pon da sinting yah unuh mussi tink a vibes connect or someting the idea is, yuh have a problem need some answers. yuh ask- ppl answa- yuh sive tthrough di answers see what works for you choose a best answer if yuh want, and move on.

TO me, an answer is an answer to a question and therefore it all depends on THE QUESTION.

Some questions are technical, and as such, they require technical answers with reference and all. These could be WAY longer than i would dare to answer a question if it were face-to-face.

Other questions are simple and straight forward.

Other questions just BEG you to be as sarcastic as possible with as much OBVIOUS facts intertwined as GRAMATICALLY POSSIBLE.

The only hard and fast rule is that your FACTS should be as accurate as possible. I've seen many people claim to be authorities here, dishing out information that i know to be ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT. That's not cool. Y!A Questions stay online long enough to misguide thousands of people world-wide. If you are not sure, i think its fair to leave the door open...at least let people knwo its just an opinion. Whether you are sarcastic, humourous, or blunt really doesn't matter.

As far as the thumbs downs? BAD MIND IS ACTIVE. NUFF bad mind people deh pon Y!A. Perhaps your next question should ask for a definition of BAD MIND, so as to let the world know what it is. I must admit that it is elusive for some peopel to understand, because it comes in SO MANY FORMS.
