  1. LOOK - I know you're struggling to climb hills on your bike, I've seen you mention in the dozen other questions about this SAME SUBJECT. You basically have the largest rear sprocket you can get fitted to your bike already, so if you want to make climbing easier, you'll need to add another chainring to the chainset at the front, because at the moment you only have 1 ring (which has 40 teeth)

Adding another chainring with give you a range of 7 more gears to chose from - A total of 14. You mentioned you want 21 gears, which would mean you need 3 chainrings in total at the front (3 x 7).

I don't mean to be rude or a bike snob, but the bike you have is pretty low-end - It's a bike to ride around town in, not really for climbing. changing/adding to your chainset can be quite costly and I can make a qualified assumption that you'll have to get a professional bike mechanic to do it for you. You'll also have to buy another shifter and front derailleur for the front chainrings...

It's not worth the price and effort for the bike. Mountain bikes typically come with smaller chainrings and more than 1, so I'd look into getting a mountain bike instead.

Although, for me a 40 toothed chainring and a 34 toothed largest rear sprocket is more than enough I would need to climb most hills TBH
