my husband is suffering from a stroke that affects his mental stage,is currently in hospital for hallucinations, been going on for years but seem to get worse. It usally happens at night, although we are having marriage problems,I felt his hallucinations were the fear of losing me,but it really makes me wonder if they are real. And what could this be,if they are real,he see's rats crawling on him at night, spiders, noises, screaming,he thinks I'm doing things when I'm asleep,he's wakes me up and he says as soon as he does that it go's away.He sleeps with the bathroom light on at night,he is on alot of meds, but what if they are real??? I really don't see anything abnormal, but what ever is going on he feels as if it doesn't want him there with me,especially in bed. It's driving him crazy,he can't sleep,It's destroying whats left of his life, which leads me to wonder if it is real.

  1. There is something to be said about women's intuition. While it could be a side effect of the meds, it could be something else.

When you are on drugs (even prescription meds) it blasts open your crown chakra and leaves you open to spiritual things that you would otherwise be protected from.

My Uncle has to take medication for some health problems and he used to have night terrors. He would scream in his sleep and thrash around. One night I saw him doing this and instead of waking him up, I called up my shields to surround him and he just calmed down, in his sleep and slept for the rest of the night peacefully.

When I told him that the next morning, he started to pray to be protected in his sleep and he stopped having the night terrors.

So, it could be a spiritual problem caused by the medicine and it could be resolved in a spiritual way.

He can try to call on the Angels. Or if he wakes you with his nightmare, you can do something for him. You can pray or you can imagine white light surrounding the whole bed...

Try some things out. If nothing works, then you'll know for sure that it isn't spiritual and his doctor needs to take him off the meds and try something else.

Good luck to both of you. *hugs*

    *edit*

Just to clarify, my Uncle and Aunt were separated at the time and so he slept in the front room. Everyone in the family knew that if they heard him screaming in his sleep, to go and wake him up.

So it's not like I went in his bedroom or anything like that.  ;)

  2. Hello Jem

No they are not real, they will be a byproduct of the drugs & if his brain isnt functioning well then it could be firing all over the place.

I hope that his health improves x

  3. my spirit tells me that your husband is over medicated and that the meds are causing the hallucinations.  there is also an entity, that has taken the opportunity of his illness and the subsequent mismanagement of his medications, to cause him to have confusion, it is a dark spirit of confusion.  it would be a good idea to have him brought to a facility to have his blood levels tested.  for sure, i see he is toxic.  an holistic healer would probably want to work on that.   it would also be a good idea to have a bible open in the room where the two of you sleep.  read psalm 91 aloud before bedtime each night with the windows open,  speak to the entitiy of confusion and tell it, in the name of the christ to leave your husband, you and your home alone.  command it to leave at once, that it is not welcome.  thereafter, bless each door, portal [like drains in the sink], mirror and window with dove's blood.  no, you don't have to kill a dove, go to a botanica and they can provide you with this red liquid.  it will protect you all.  and remember to ask the angels to encamp about your whole property.  you can email me for more info.

  4. Two things here.

First of all his creepy crawling things at night sound like the DT's

Which is something alcoholic. Does he drink?

Hallutations can be caused by too much electircity. both natural under the earth and also manmaid electronic waves.

If he sleeps elsewhere does this happen?

Move all electric devices from your room, Especially don't have a alarm clock near his head. You might even try to shut down the electricy when  he sleeps.

Do you live or he works near an eclectorical  statiaon? That can be bad,

Another thought...My X husband would see snakes and was so sure they were in the bed that I almost ot believed it.myself.

My X used to act like this when he would eat something with sugar or carbs in it. When he eliminate it he slept well.

  5. My mom was taking some of those sleeping aides, like Lunesta, and she started sleep walking.  She would go to bed in her night clothes and wake up fully clothed.  She also brought the neighbor's chair into her apartment and wrote her name on it over 1000 times.  She was shocked and very upset to find the chair in her living room when she woke up the next morning with her name all over it in her writing.  Now, when you listen to the commercials for that product, it warns that these kinds of things can happen.  His problems are all from the meds.  There may be more than one medication he is taking that has these kinds of side effects.  Read the literature that comes with them from the Pharmacist.  Also ask his doctor if it could be from something he is taking or from a combination of what he is taking.  None of what you are describing  sounds like anything paranormal.  I truly hope his health improves for you both.

  6. He's having hallucinations because he is ill and/or the medications he is taking. Discuss it with his doctor.

  7. You know they're not real - you're there too.  It's the meds talking.  My grandfather is in a similar state, having hallucinations of dead friends and loosing things in the middle of the night.  It's not paranormal.  He's just sick and on a lot of meds.

  8. My mother says that there are parts of the brain that cause hallucinations. Additionally, if his stroke damaged the amygdala region of the brain, it could account for his being unable to cope with the idea that these things are not real.

Dreams are said to originate near the base of the brain, in the area of the hippocampus. Nightmares occur slightly forward of there, closer to the pituitary area, but on the sides. My mother also says that your husband would do well to have another screening at a different medical facility, if possible, in order to further explain these episodes.

My mother also wanted me to add that a diet which is too rich in high proteins (such as red meats) might make things worse, so experiment around with protein levels after consulting with your doctor to make sure you don't do it unsafely for his condition. Raising his grain intake may also help with some symptoms, but it may also make things worse, depending on what's actually happening.

As a paranormal investigator, I've never had any experience with hallucinations of this magnitude (if that's what they are). There are also some drugs that pronounce the effect you're talking about (e.g., make it more real to him). He may also be hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields, so try shutting off all of the electricity and using a battery-powered night light or flashlight for a night or two. My mother agreed that these are sensible things to try, but because it's related to an existing medical condition, be sure to ask the doctor(s) first so that you don't do anything to make the situation worse (since they know more about his particular situation than she does).

Above all, though this is uncomfortable and even frightening at times, there doesn't seem to be a basis to say that there is paranormal activity happening, and every reason to believe that it's due to the brain's own capacity to generate very real sensations under conditions of neural hyperarousal mostly caused by damage to the brain from the stroke. (And please don't ask me to repeat that.)
