A question for all of you anti-gunners?

I'm curious to know what goes on inside the brain of those who feel that banning guns will keep us safe. Do you honestly think that taking guns away from law abiding citizens will protect us when criminals buy their guns illegally on the street? Also, I would like to see you stand back, unarmed and watch armed criminals break into your house and kill your children or rape your wife... let me know how that works out for you. I guarantee you, I'll be unloading one of several legally purchased, semi-automatics that I own into someone if they tthreaten to hurt my family. Let's hear the rationale. Wow me :)

  1. "Shall not be infringed"

  2. I do not have a gun.(well i had a bb gun) but I never owned a gun

but I did shot my dads shotgun and rifel.but I am not a hunter

and I did shot *sharpshoter* in the military during viet nam

but my family does not own a gun..probably ever?

but I am glad other people can have guns.  I want everyone who is

normal (sane) and law abiding able to guns as the crooks don't know

I don't have a gun in the house..I think this would be a mistake for

this country to take the right of gun ownership away from citizens

Guns God and Guts built the US

  3. Amen. If you make guns illegal, then only criminals will have them.

  4. I think only the law should be armed with any weapons, other than recreation or competitive use.

Come talk to me if you disagree I’d like to work out your brain out too.

  5. Actually in states where people carry guns legally the crime rate is minuscule.

  6. why dont you small penised gun lovers chill out, man. no ones taking your guns. so cool your paranoia. however you dont need the firepower of a small army.

  7. I'm sorry but I cannot stand by this. I am in fact a victim of gun violence and I have partial movement below my waist due to being shot and I even lost my right eye.

12 years ago on New Years I stepped out of my friends car and we were ambushed by two men (gang members). I was shot once in the cheek and once in the chest and my friend was shot point blank in the head, he died instantly. My other friend managed to run in to the house and was not shot. Two weeks after the shooting the LAPD found the people responsible for my pain. We learned that the shooter was fifteen years old and was told to kill some one in order to join a gang. The other man was twenty-seven and he was the licensed owner of the gun.

Why can't we have a compromise when it comes to guns? For instance only allow the lawful purchase of hunting rifles and outlaw concealable guns. Knives have multiple purposes with their use. A gun is used to just kill.

What really bothers me is that the gun law worked for the twenty-seven year old man who was part of the shooting. He lawfully purchased it and he illegally took my friends life away.

  8. I know few who are anti-gun!

We don't want kook's on the street with weapons and I don't see any need for an AK47 or automatic weapon. I am pro 2nd Amendment, but I don't want to see an M1A1 Tank sitting in someones yard!

I don't have a rationale and I don't believe many other people want them completely banned either. You tend to place those who want restrictions on them as being anti-gun. That is Not the case! Perhaps if you had a 7 year old daughter gunned down while sitting on the stairs you could understand some of the very personal reasons others do...but I don't think you can see that far!

  9. I'm not pro gun control.

But I'm not into having legal semi automatics in every home either.

Or available for legal purchase by people just out of mental hospitals.

That's the problem, between "Let them get a gun in the cradle and use it for a teething ring", and "Ban all guns", there is a lot of unaddressed space.

How about record keeping?  Each gun that leaves a factory is fired and the bullet kept for comparison if needed?

Even hunters have rules, and they don't like needless abuses so it shouldn't be a problem.

How about working a plan to keep your guns out of the hands of burglars and sad kids, or show off kids?  Maybe that means you can't keep them on a wall, or loaded in your home or car.  With the amount of accidents that occur that way, that could help.

Every day we lose people to gun accidents, we send people to driving school, why not gun school?  Make people aware and give them the education to limit their kids unsupervised play.

That would work far better than the either/or attitude, we'd have our guns, and we would be a little safer too.
