If a individual who is known to have ties to the mafia threatened to kill your whole family would you leave him alone?

Even if you was suppose to arrest him?

  1. Without a doubt, no. That is a felony crime in itself.

  2. You should be sure to have enough on somebody like that before you confront them, surely your colleagues will know something about them. They need to be taken down sooner or later, the sooner the better. You have to be sure something is going to stick to put them away for a long time.

    good luck.

  3. As far as mafia goes... If it was a Gotti... yes... if it was a gang banger punk who thinks they were in the mafia (half of New Jersey) then no. I would arrest them so fast they wouldn't know what hit em.

  4. Well it would be a hard decision and you have to give us officers some grief because we are trying to make the right decision, but sometimes it crosses the line.

  5. When there is a warrant for someone, the wording states "shall" arrest.  We don't have an option to let people go.  If I came across this person and ran his license and he had warrants, he's coming with me, no question about it.
